here are my picks... and I'm sober while making them...
OTT vs Tampa--
Ott D are too good and their forwards with the addition of Havlat are too strong...and the goalies for Tampa need bigger pads or a smaller net cause they can't stop a beach ball right now... Ottawa in 5

Carolina vs MTL--
Carolina has had a great season but their foot has been off the gas pedal for way too long, especially down the stretch losing 4 of their last 5 and Gerber giving up 28 goals in his last 7 starts. MTL has Huet, who has the league's best save percentage and he's going to need to be even better in the playoffs. Kovalev is the series, if he can turn the switch on he's dominant and so can be the Habs...MTL in 6

NJ vs NY Rangers
Jersey, the hottest team in the league with the best playoff performer in the game; Brodeur. Gomez, Gionta, Elias...up front the compete but on the blue line who's going to stop the NHL's runner up for MVP, Jagr. He's too big and the new rules work in his favor. With MSG going to be rocking and no one in the Jersey rink besides NY fans who can't afford MSG, too many home games for the Rangers...NYR in 6

Buff vs Philly
Who in their right mind picked buffalo to be where they are? Congratulations to Lindy Ruff for what he's gone through this year and for what his team has accomplished. Unfortunately I believe Forsberg is the deciding factor in this series..if he's healthy, so are the Flyers and he is...Flyers in 6

DET vs Edmonton
these wings are like a fine wine, getting better with age. Yzerman, Lidstrom, Chelios, etc..they are too fast, too good looking and have the Pistons on their side as well. Not the biggest Peca fan this year and I'm not sure if he can elevate his game to help a desperate Oiler squad. Wings have four first lines and Roloson just hasn't convinced me that they can steal games... DET in 5

DAL vs COL
Dallas has one of the deepest lineups in the game and have mastered the new NHL. Big Modano fan when he gets going and Billy Guerin didn't have his best season this year and Dallas still managed to be one of the leagues top scorers. Wait till he lights it up in the playoffs and adds another dimension to an already high powered offense. Joe Sakic and Rob Blake can only do so much this year. Wishing Theodore the best of luck with his new team but I don't think Lady Luck is on his side this playoff.
DAL in 6

CAL vs ANA
I believe this to be the best series in the west. CAL has been to the dance and have the best goalie in today's game. ANA wasn't suppose to be in this position but give them credit cause they deserve it. This series is a toss up but I believe Iginla and the Kipper are too much for the Mighty Ducks, oops, the Ducks...Cal in 7

NASH vs SJ
Kariya and his crewdeserve more than what they have right now...a battered squad. Vokoun is out, Sullivan is hurtingandthey are playing the best 1- 2 punch in the game; Thornton and Cheechoo. The league's MVP have brought hope to a team that is rolling and might be unstoppable in the playoffs. Big test for Thornton as his playoff totals and play have been under par in the past. The big boy is happy and in Cali... and on his way to the second round. SJ in 6

I wouldn't bet your mortgage on some of these but I'm pretty. Yeah that's right...I'm pretty!
