The Dallas Stars open their 2024-25 regular season schedule on Wednesday on the road against the Nashville Predators (7:00 p.m. CDT, ESPN+). For what it's worth, the Stars went 5-0-1 in the preseason while Nashville was 2-3-0. All time, the Stars are 23-24-8 on the road against the Predators.

Jake Oettinger is expected to get the start in goal for Dallas. With Juuse Saros dealing with a lower-body injury and considered day-to-day, the Predators recalled former Dallas/Texas Stars netminder Matt Murray on Wednesday from the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals. Veteran backup Scott Wedgewood is also available for duty for the Predators. The game will mark longtime Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Steven Stamkos' debut for Nashville.
