Yesterday's Canada vs Finland game was all too familiar for Leafs fans. 4-1 lead for a team wearing a Maple Leaf, late in the game in a win or go home game in Boston. And boom, it's 4-3. Talk about hard on the nerves, and in the words of Yogi Berra. Deja Vu all over again.

Canada prevailed, Crosby hit the empty net to lock it up.

Now we have the final everybody in TV land wants. Canada and USA again. Two days off before the final. USA could use it, looks like they're all banged up. Finished the game short at forward.
Matthews and Matthew Tkachuk did not dress and Brady Tkachuk only played 1:55 before departing.

Key to Canada's victory, obviously lighting the lamp, many times. Jon Cooper changed up the lines and it definitely worked. I can't imagine he changes anything ahead of Thursday's game.

Canada and the USA will meet in the final of an NHL International Tournament for the third time, each team winning once. USA at the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and Canada at the 1991 Canada Cup.

Canada and USA will meet to decide the champion of a best-on-best men’s international tournament for the first time in 15 years (2010 Winter Olympic Games).

I will have more on the game tomorrow.
