The Pittsburgh Penguins announced a number of hires and promotions today within their organization.

Notable promotions include Jason Spezza and Amanda Kessel. Spezza will officially be an assistant GM for the Penguins while also taking over as the GM for the Baby Penguins. This is a common setup for the Penguins as their previous assistant general managers have also been the general manager for the AHL.

Amanda Kessel is now has the following titles: Manager, Minor League Operations and Assistant General Manager, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. She has really risen up the ranks after coming on as a member of the Executive Management Program, which led to her promotion as a special assistant to the GM.
