The Penguins have reached their limit with Tristan Jarry and who could blame them? He stinks. Jarry who has had multiple tumultuous in a row has been placed on waivers.

The #Pens say Tristan Jarry will go on waivers at 2 p.m. ET.

Jarry is one of the worst goaltenders in the league this year and deserves this treatment. He has let the Penguins down over and over again. Even in his all star seasons he was a dud in the playoffs, that’s if he even played. He was either unavailable or didn’t meet the standard. A really bad place to be if you are supposed to be the starting goaltender of an NHL team that has even mild aspirations.

Horrendous horrendous stuff, here. You can’t compete like this. Unfortunately, Jarry is not alone, he’s just the one that makes more money and made the organization more mad. Alex Nedeljkovic has also been woeful in his performances this season

Dubas clearly whiffed hard on the Jarry contract and the Nedeljkovic extension is looking like a milder, but still bad deal as well.

When you look at the Jarry extension and couple it with the Ryan Graves signing Kyle Dubas just straight up burned ~10M in cap space immediately without getting any value at all in return. He got negative value. Now Jake Guentzel is playing on the Tampa Bay Lightning and Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are toiling along with crappy depth while they are still performing at a more than acceptable level. It is a really unfortunate situation.

In the immediate future it appears to be Joel Blomqvist time

Kyle Dubas said Joel Blomqvist will be recalled from WBS. Tristan Jarry will go there if he clears.

Said Jarry has zero health issues. #Pens

Hopefully last night was the last time Tristan Jarry will play for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He’s impossible to root for and is one of the main reasons this competitive window has been slammed shut. Good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out... at least it won't hit him on the first time.
