Those of you with the Center Ice Package can get some prime playoff
practice for your trigger fingers tonight, with four meaningful games
all starting at either 7 or 7:30. The matchups to determine the
Eastern seedings start with the Flyers at the Islanders, Ottawa at the
Rangers, and Buffalo at Carolina at 7:00 PM EDT, then, just so you have
something to watch between periods, the Devils are at Montreal to close
out the action starting at 7:30.

It should be a wild end to the regular season and a great preview for
this Friday night, when the best playoffs in all of sport commences,
after a two year absence. Game ON!

OLN Misses the Drama

While tonight OLN features the Carolina Hurricanes going for the number
one spot in the east, last night the network missed a great opportunity
to show a dramatic and vital Capital-Thrasher game, a game in which the
Caps ended up ending Atlanta's playoff hopes.

Yes, the Detroit - Dallas match was the premiere event on paper, and
was a good contest in the third period, but with both teams locked in
long ago and resting key personnel, it was hardly must-see viewing for
the hockey fan. OLN should schedule some flexibility into the
final week of their telecasts, to ensure that games like Atlanta
Washington get the attention they deserve.
