The Panthers fell to the struggling Vancouver Canucks in OT on Thursday night by a 3-2 margin. Despite the loss, it was a solid effort. Bob was particularly good, as he was the main reason the Cats escaped that game with a point.

I take it with a grain of salt knowing Barky and Tkachuk are out, and this semi-new look Panthers team is finding its groove. Maurice put it best:

The Cats will look to bounce back tonight against the speedy 3-2 Vegas Golden Knights, currently sitting fourth in the Pacific Division.

As Litter Box Cats previews:

The two combatants in the 2023 Stanley Cup Final meet this evening in Sunrise when the Florida Panthers (3-2-1) host the Vegas Golden Knights (3-2) at Amerant Bank Arena.

Florida fell 3-2 to the Vancouver Canucks in its last outing, but by getting to overtime the undermanned Cats extended its point-streak to three games. Jesper Boqvist notched his first goal as a Panther and Anton Lundell scored for third consecutive game in the loss.

After opening the season by winning three straight in Sin City, the Golden Knights have suffered back-to-back losses in Washington and Tampa Bay. They’ll be looking to end the three-game road trip with a win tonight. Jack Eichel is tied for third in the league in scoring with ten points, one behind league-leaders Artemi Panarin and Evgeni Malkin.”

Since went wrong the league, VGK has found a lot of success through speed and production from the backend. Their talented roster often puts the opponent on their heels and activates their defensemen to start/join the offensive attack.

Panthers will need to use their bodies to slow the Knights down, and also be win at the dot. Need Florida centers to be good to today so that the Cats can control the game as much as possible via time of possession.
