Ten games in the NHL tonight, playoff positioning on the line. Calgary still has a life left in the west as they are in a must win game at home tonight against Vegas. Montreal blew a clinching chance on Monday as they blew a two goal lead at home against Chicago, Habs managed to get a loser point out of it. Now they will be cheering for the Flyers tonight to deny Columbus two points.
Leafs visit Buffalo this evening looking to sew up first in the Atlantic. Toronto just needs a point gained by them or failure of Tampa to get two points in order for the Leafs to lock up top spot. The last time Toronto won the division (full season) was in 1999-00, then they met Ottawa in the first round of the playoffs.

This is the Leafs final road game of the season, Toronto has the second best road record in the NHL (.638), Capitals are tops in the league (.654).

Buffalo has won 7 straight at home, outscoring their opponent 27-15. This is the 14th straight season the Sabres have missed the playoffs.

Milestone watch tonight, Marner sits on 99 points on the season, and Matthews with 399 career goals. Matthews has 8 goals in his last 7 games against Buffalo. Marner has 1 goal and 16 assists in his last 8 games facing the Sabres.

I shall return tomorrow morning the set up Leafs and Wings.
