Game two in the battle of Ontario, part five. The Leafs have not had a 2-0 series lead since 2002 vs NYI. Leafs won that series in 7 games, home team won every game. The loss by Ottawa puts their road record this season at 18-20-4, 0-2-1 in their last 3 road games, with just 4 goals.
Last line change certainly helps.
Stolarz in game one, was his first ever playoff win in his first ever start (relief appearance in the post season last year with Panthers).
The win game one by Toronto kept their dominating momentum going, six straight wins, outscoring opponent 23-9.
Leafs haven't lost at home in over a month (March 15). 8 straight triumphs at Scotiabank, outscoring opponent 34-12, going 8/19 on PP.
Toronto headed into the playoffs firing on all cylinders and a dominating performance in game one, with all the usual suspects showing up and participating like playoff veterans should. Stolarz stopped just about everything shot his way, for his 9th straight win.
Needless to say a W on Tuesday night, would be a long overdue 2-0 series lead. Toronto hit the ice skating on Sunday, no reason to think they won't on Taco Tuesday.
Back Wednesday morning with post game break down.
