The Columbus Blue Jackets get their first win of 2025 with a 6-4 victory over the St. Louis Blues.

Period I

Dmitry Voronkov opened the scoring in the final minute of the period with his 14th of the regular season with the assists going to Ivan Provorov and Zach Werenski.

Period II

Two and a quarter minutes into period two, Krill Marchenko got goal number two for the home team. With this point, the winger surpassed his career high in points with 43. The Russian superstar in the making earned his 17th goal of the season with the helpers going to Sean Monahan and Kent Johnson.


Period III

Mikael Pyyhita recorded his first career short handed goal and fourth of the season. Provorov and Monahan had the assists.

Jordan Kyrou closed the door on shutout hopes with a powerplay with his 17th of the campaign. Jake Neighbours and Dylan Holloway earned the helpers.

Adam Fantilli answered back with his eighth this season with the apples going to Werenski and Dante Fabbro.

Cam Fowler cut the lead in half with his fourth goal as a Blue from Holloway and Kyrou.

Dmitry Voronkov replied with his second of the evening and 15th of the campaign from Monahan and Jordan Harris.

Colton Parayko slapped the Blues deficit back to two with his seventh goal of the regular season with assists belonging to Pavel Buchnevich and Alexandre Texier, my Blues player to watch.

Brayden Schenn, captain of the Blues, got his club’s lead within one with his eighth of the year from Fowler and Kyrou.

Mathieu Olivier closed the goal scoring with his 10th of the campaign; his first ever multi-goal season. His empty net goal was assisted by Provorov and Cole Sillinger.

Joel Hofer stopped 33 shots of 38 faced for an 0.868 save percentage.

St. Louis — Alexandre Texier had a secondary assist on the Parayko goal. His first point against his former team, the Frenchman was a +1 in 12:22 TOI.

Columbus — Denton Mateychuk was a -2 with a blocked shot and giveaway in 16:55TOI. His career worst minus performance.
