The Montreal Canadiens ECHL affiliate started 2025 with three wins.

The Trois-Rivieres Lions began the week on Tuesday on the road to face the Maine Mariners (Boston Bruins), followed by a tripleheader against the Adirondack Thunder (New Jersey Devils) on Friday at the Cool Insuring Arena and at Colisee Videotron on Saturday and Sunday.
Tuesday: Trois-Rivieres Lions 3 - Maine Mariners 4 (overtime)
Trois-Rivieres took a lead into the first intermission thanks to goals by Jakov Novak and Morgan Adams-Moisan. After being saluted by teammates during the goal celebration, Novak through the monkey off his back to mark a five-game scoring drought. Maine cut the lead by half early in the second period, but Alex Beaucage brought it back to a two-goal lead. The Bruins affiliate answered back with a goal before the second intermission and forced overtime with the tying goal midway through the third period. The Mariners completed the comeback with a goal at the 4:36 mark.
Adirondack took an early lead before the ice tilted in Trois-Rivieres’ favour. The Lions answered six consecutive times, including once on the power play before the first intermission with goals by Xavier Cormier (2), Novak, Beaucage, Adams-Moisan, and Anthony Beauregard. The Thunder scored for a second time during the middle frame and Isaac Dufort added a power play goal in the third period.
The Lions took a commanding lead with goals by Justin Ducharme, Wyatt McLeod, and Chris Jandric through 20 minutes. Adirondack cut the deficit to one, with a goal in the second and third period. Novak and Dufort ended the Thunder’s hopes for a comeback with a pair of empty net goals in the final 1:16 of regulation.
Novak put Trois-Rivieres on the board in the first period with a goal for a fourth consecutive match. The Lions took control during the second period with goals by Beaucage, Dufort, and Vincent Sevigny. In third, Beauragard added to the lead with his fifth point of the afternoon, followed by Tommy Cormier tally later in the period. Adirondack broke Hunter Jones shutout with 2:50 remaining.
Beauregard Wins Honours
Anthony Beauregard was named the team’s most valuable player for the month of December. The forward obtained 14 points, 27 shots, plus-4 rating in 14 games.
