We wish the absolute best to Bill Meltzer with PhiladelphiaFlyers.com. And we will be adding a new Flyers writer soon..and it could be YOU...The Flyers community here is so strong that I do believe someone here could be taking over..I have had some great luck before finding new writers from within. So, if you are interested in covering the Flyers for hockeybuzz, email me a sample story to [email protected]. Put "Flyers" in the subject. As I have in the past I will post the best here for the Flyers community to consider. Just give me your overall thoughts on something...th team, Michkov, the Goaltending....Hint...I love unique voices. That means well thought-out opinions along with game stories... Anyone can tell you who scores I want opinions. Philly opinions.

So last game in Tampa was about as unlikely win for the Flyers as you could expect...Can we all agree on that?

*No Mitchkov
*A seemingly confused Fedotov
*A team that is getting under twenty shots a game vs Vasy...
* A shootout????

And yet...victory..

The question I have for today is regarding Torts practice of giving a player who is struggling time in the press box as a healthy scratch... That player was Micchkov Tuesday, and the official reason was what the official reason has been previously: He is young player and dropping off a bit, let him watch a games up high and get the hunger and his game back. See the game.

In my opinion, I have seen nothing that shows a player gets better from this tactic...

For the Flyers, one name comes immediately to mind..Shane Gostisbheere...Hakstol essentially destroyed the kid as an often healthy scratch when Shane would want to "carry the puck too much..".Well since being dealt from the Flyers he has become a premiere D man...with a shot at Team USA... And just signed another solid contract in Carolina...

So does the healthy scratch help? Or is it just for show?

I guess we might see tonight...

Email your articles to me. Already have some great ones I will start posting them in the next few days!
