Quick Hits: August 6, 2024

1) Part 2 of the two part Flyers prospect directory series is now live on the team's official site. Each segment looks at the development of Philadelphia prospects who are not (or not) yet on the NHL roster and their projected team/league in the upcoming 2024-25 season. One segment looks at players who were first eligible in the 2019 to 2022 Drafts. The other looks at players the Flyers tabbed in the 2023 and 2024 Drafts as well as a calendar of events leading up to next year's Entry Draft.

2) Coming up next: An Offseason Spotlight feature on Joel Farabee and a new profile on a Flyers Hometown Assist recipient.

3) Today in Flyers History: August 6, 2020

In a postseason round-robin game to determine playoff seeding in the bubble in Toronto amid the Covid-19 pandemic, a three-point game (two goals, one assist) by Scott Laughton lifted the Flyers to a 3-1 win over the Washington Capitals. Travis Konecny had two helpers and Kevin Hayes collected three assists. Travis Sanheim tallied midway through the game. Philly limited the Caps to a mere 17 shots on goal for the game. Goalie Carter Hart flirted with a shuout for for nearly 49 minutes before Travis Boyd finally got Washington on the board.
