This is very good news.

I think a lot of fans still look at the shortcomings in Campoli's current level of play and forget that he's still developing...and has been pointed out before, it's not uncommon for defensemen to take a little longer to develop than forwards.

The occasional blown coverage or poor breakout pass will diminish over the next few seasons, and they're really only a minor issue right now relative to his assets, mainly his mobililty and shot.

I'd still like to see Campoli paired with Gervais again. With more polish and experience their ability to move the puck out of the zone with quickness and accuracy can be among the better duos in the league.
