Some former Minnesota Wild making news so when will the news break that the current Wild have made a splash.

Erik Haula is on the move again as he was dealt to Carolina for prospect Nicolas Roy and a conditional pick.

Former Wild GM is making moves with his current team, the Flyers almost daily.

I am not saying that Paul Fenton should be as active as his predecessor is today just taking note.

The shrewdness of the deal and the art in which it is carried out pay the highest dividends moving forward. That is what Chuck Fletcher has been able to do in his short tenure with the Flyers, by trading his UFAs at the deadline and then cashing the returns in before July 1.

That was evident in the Wayne Simmonds to Nashville for Ryan Hartman at the deadline, then Hartman to Dallas for Tyler Pitlik.

Fenton does not have the same scenarios here with his own UFAs so not trying to make the point that he should or should not be doing something.

Really my point is that Chuck Fletcher is a smart GM and he is proving that in Philly.

Timing is everything and Fletcher had his time in Minnesota and the moves and gambles he took did not pay off in the end. That does not make him a bad GM.

I said it many times before and I will say it often moving forward, give me proactive over reactive every day.

Many actions will be wrong, and the right ones make one a genius.

Here is hoping Paul Fenton is pulling the right strings in making the Wild a contender sooner rather than later.
