The Avalanche announced Monday they have re-signed defenseman Ryan Graves to a one-year contract. He was a restricted free agent who had filed for arbitration.
It’s a two-way deal for $735,000 in the NHL and $350,000 in the minors.
The 6-foot-5, 226-pound Graves, 24, had five points (three goals, two assists) and a plus-4 plus/minus rating in 26 games with the Avalanche last season and nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 32 games with the AHL Colorado Eagles.
Graves made his NHL debut on Dec. 27 at Vegas and scored his first NHL goal Jan. 4 against the New York Rangers.
Graves was acquired from the Rangers on Feb. 26, 2018 for defenseman Chris Bigras. He was a fourth-round pick (No. 110) of the Rangers in the 2013 NHL draft.
He has 77 points (24 goals, 53 assists) in 260 career AHL games with the Hartford WolfPack, San Antonio Rampage and the Eagles.
