Well I picked a great time to be in Orlando. Not official from the teams yet but it appears as though the Oilers and Flames have agreed to swap bad contract for bad contract, with the Oilers retaining a bit of salary and offering a conditional pick.

At first glance this is a win for Edmonton who escapes from the virtually buyout proof Lucic contract for a player who might have something left in the tank or at least be easier to buyout.
