I am hearing the Pittsburgh Penguins are one of three teams who are believed to have serious interest in Jake Gardiner, to the point one source (with another team who is interested) texted me today..."Everyone is hearing the Pens are making a huge pitch which at this point will be very hard to pass on for Gardiner...

As I have written previously, the end of July has been set as a deadline internally for the Maple Leafs with Mitch Marner, and there is word today that the growing concern has made both sides more concerned (and hopefully more proactive) about the future...The Leafs are turning away trade proposals but a source tells me that will all change a week from now...
#3. Max Domi looks like the key piece in any attempted trade to land Patrick Laine in Montreal...makes a ton of sense, but Domi, being a center who has really worked well for the Habs, is a tough price to pay....even though Laine may very well develop into the best goal-scorer since Alex Ovechkin. Would you include Domi to get it done?
