Talked to a source this morning and the Montreal-Winnipeg talks have reached a critical point.

The Jets are requiring that ANY deal for restricted free agent Patrik Laine starts with Max Domi. That's a big price to pay for the Canadiens.

Also, there are reports that the Wild have asked permission to talk to Scott Mellanby for their vacant general manager gig. Mellanby has been Montreal's assistant general manager since 2014.
