Sunday Matchup: Who Will Make the Playoffs: NJ Devils or NY Rangers?

Happy Sunday Hockeyworld. I am meeting a source tonight to get the latest on a slew of RFAs and how this year's RFA situation could soon turn into a disaster with implications stretching far beyond this year's teams and likely to impact the next CBA negotiations...

But those dark thoughts aren't any fun on this lovely Sunday in August...

The question I have today is which team...the NJ Devils or the NY Rangers is more likely a playoff team....I bring this up because of the immense amount of talent BOTH teams have added in the offseason...

Start with the Rangers....

Panarin is obvious, but add to that Trouba and maybe most importantly Kaapo Kakko. That is 3 of your starting 6 who weren't there last season...I honestly feel the Rangers are a playoff team...

As for the Devils...Hughes, Pk Subban, Gusev and Simmonds adds a lot of depth and skill to a team that already had Nico Hischier and Taylor Hall on the final year before becoming a UFA...

Between those two teams you are looking at HUGE talent upgrades.

Who has the better chance to make the playoffs?

Do you feel that both teams have a shot?
