Quick Hits: August 6, 2019

1) Twenty Flyers games will be on national television during the 2019-20 season, per a press release on Tuesday from the NHL and NBC. Eight of the games will be "Wednesday Night Hockey" broadcasts on NBCSN. Two will be NBC Game of the Week matinees on Sunday. Many of the other games will be broadcast locally on NBC Sports Philadelphia with other games that night being shown on NBCSN. The games are as follows:

2) The Flyers Community Caravan tour resumes today (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) at Somers Point Beach at New Jersey and Bay Avenues in Somers Point, NJ. Upcoming appearances are as follows:

Sat. Aug 10 (3 p.m. to 8 p.m.) at the Benchmark Twilight Cycling Classic in West Chester, PA (High and Gay Sts).
Fri. Sept. 6 (5 p.m. to 8 p.m.) at First Friday on the Delaware (Mill and Radcliffe Sts.) in Bristol, PA.
Sat. Sept. 7 (1 p.m. to 3 p.m.) at the Kennett Mushroom Festival in Kennett Square, PA (300 E. South St.)


3) Today in Flyers History: On Aug. 6, 1997, the Flyers named Paul Holmgren as director of player personnel.
