2) Heading into next season, Flyers captain Claude Giroux (762 career points) needs 87 points to catch Brian Propp (849) for third place on the franchise's all-time points list. If Giroux remains healthy, he could catch Bill Barber (883) for second some time during the 2020-21 season. With 526 assists, Giroux is already second in franchise history. Giroux's 236 goals rank 10th in team history. He would need a 28-goal season in 2019-20 to tie Simon Gagne (264) for 9th.

3) Thank you to TSN 1260 Edmonton, host Jason Strudwick and show producer Connor Halley for having me on a guest yesterday on the Jason Gregor Show. Struds and I talked about the the Flyers' offseason and keys to returning to the playoffs next season. To listen, click here. On Monday, the new edition of Broadcasters' Roundtable -- featuring Tim Saunders, Jim Jackson, Chris Therien, Steve Coates, and me -- will be recorded for Flyers Radio 24/7.

4) Aug. 9 Flyers Alumni birthdays: Rod Brind'Amour (1970), Harvey Bennett (1952), Andy Brickley (1961).
