Wild Owner, Craig Leipold, made it official naming Bill Guerin the Wild's 4th General Manager in club history.

Now on to the task at hand getting the Wild moving forward and back into contention.

Guerin, the former Penguins assistant GM will bring a winners approach both from his playing days as well as his front office experience. The US Hockey Hall of Famer won two Stanley Cups as a player and 2 more in his role as Assistant GM with the Penguins.

The NHL has transitioned from the "old school" point of view with the emphasis on youth, speed, creativity, and advanced metrics. That said hiring Bill Guerin speaks volumes of how Leipold values the progression of the NHL over hiring one of the retread candidates that tend to bring the more traditional approach.

In other Wild news, Joel Eriksson Ek was resigned to a two year $2.975 bridge deal. That leaves Kevin Fiala as the lone Wild roster player unsigned.
