We are quickly approaching the beginning of the season as NHL teams are practicing and preparing for pre season hockey. With a number of teams getting things underway it’s time to get yourself setup and registered with all your fantasy pool owners.

It will be any day this week that the HockeyBuzz Super League registration opens!

This fantasy pool is easy to setup and you get a chance at some great prizes to be won. All you have to do is set your weekly lineup within the allotted maximum cap space.

So just say the cap was 80 million dollars, you would select your team BEFORE every week begins (Monday nights). You will fill all of the slots available (forward, defense and goaltending) and use up as much of the salary cap as you can for the week.

Looking at which teams play the most games and trying to maximize your total games played on the week is a great tip to get yourself going in the right direction. You will want to play all of the best rookies because they make very little in terms of salary, which gives you oodles of money left over for the high powered offensive juggernauts of the league.

Come up with a team name that is not only fun, but one you can represent yourself and your team. I’ve seen some pretty funny ones over the years, as well as some ridiculous ones that made me wonder ones sanity!

You have the option to join the free pool or get a season’s pass to join the paid pool for members which of course gives better prizes as well as the advantages of a season’s ticket holder.

I will be sure to give an updated list of the prizes once everything is all setup for action. Hopefully you can join the fun and sign up when registration opens, it really only takes 5 minutes to setup.

Keep an eye out!
