A pair of one-win teams battle tonight as the New York Islanders host the Florida Panthers. Here’s the pre-game report.

According to NHL.com’s Jon Lane, the projected lineups are:

FLORIDA

Jonathan Huberdeau - Aleksander Barkov - Mike Hoffman
Frank Vatrano - Vincent Trocheck - Brett Connolly
Jayce Hawryluk - Denis Malgin - Evgenii Dadonov
Dryden Hunt - Noel Acciari - Colton Sceviour

MacKenzie Weegar - Aaron Ekblad
Mike Matheson - Anton Stralman
Keith Yandle - Josh Brown

Sam Montembeault
Sergei Bobrovsky

NEW YORK

Anders Lee - Mathew Barzal - Jordan Eberle
Josh Bailey - Brock Nelson - Tom Kuhnhackl
Anthony Beauvillier - Derick Brassard - Michael Dal Colle
Matt Martin - Leo Komarov - Cal Clutterbuck

Adam Pelech - Ryan Pulock
Devon Toews - Scott Mayfield
Noah Dobson - Johnny Boychuk

Semyon Varlamov
Thomas Greiss

Sam Montembault is expected to make his first start for the Panthers this year, while Semyon Varlamov starts in goal for the Islanders. Casey Cizikas and Nick Leddy are expected to remain out, meaning Tom Kuhnhackl will remain on the secondline (*sigh*) while Noah Dobson and Johnny Boychuk will make up the third pair.

Yes, it’s early, but this is a bit of a must-win for the Islanders to avoid falling further behind in the standings. Florida is a beatable team, having allowed 17 goals through their first four games. That said, the Islanders have only scored more than two goals in one of their four games, so we’ll see how this one goes.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
