Kirill Kaprizov might be another young highest scoring player of the KHL season but it's too early to speculate, however, he has got himself a Russian hockey record and a big milestone!
CSKA's forward notched his 100th KHL goal on Sunday when his team defeated the HK Sochi squad. The 22-year old is closing in on 300 games played in the KHL. At his age, he already has to be considered a veteran given his experience and Gagarin cup as well as the Winter Olympic gold medal.
Kaprizov scored his 100th goal just 22 years and 170 days old making him the youngest player in KHL/Russian Championships to achieve such milestone. He did so with quite a big margin beating Nikita Gusev who did the same thing at the age of 25 years and 85 days.
Speaking of his future.. his career potentially in the NHL - in an interview with Russian site ''Sports24'' he revealed that he hasn't started learning English just yet.
''I haven't started yet but I'm going to do it. It's hard to learn with a tutor. Even the boys say that it's easier to learn while communicating.'' the young prospect said.
Kaprizov also revealed that he is yet to talk with Wild GM Bill Guerin but he's aware that the Wild executive will be traveling to Russia in December where both sides will likely meet.
When asked if he's going to the NHL in one-years time he said - ''I think that everyone knows what is going to happen. Ha-ha.''
