Back at home for the Wild for two games the boys will put their four game (3-0-1) home unbeaten streak to the test against the Coyotes tonight.

It is a rematch from Saturday night when the two teams met in Arizona with the Wild scoring three unanswered goals to erase a 3-1 deficit for the 4-3 victory. That win was inspired largely by the captain, Mikko Koivu, and his and the team's displeasure with former Wild goaltender, Darcy Kuemper, who chose to dish out a mouthful of trash talk with Yotes holding two 2-goal leads.

Arizona is coming off two shootout victories ironically over the two most recent Stankey Cup champions both on the road. That little tidbit became historic in the fact that it had never happened before that a team had beaten the previous two Cup champs on the road in consecutive games.

Expect the Coyotes to be amped up a bit more with the sour taste of Saturday's defeat still fresh in their minds. For the Wild getting off to a better start is the understatement of the year. They have been victimized by slow starts all season and have yielded the first two goals in four straight combine that with their propensity to give up multiple goals quickly in the majority of the first 18 games to date have made winning all that much more difficult.

Expect to see Kuemper back between the pipes for Arizona tonight and to be a bit more focused in his effort. For the Wild they should have all the inspiration that they need in returning home along with the bitter taste 9f their former mate's remarks to drive the effort tonight.

It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
