Once more, the Charles Hudon experiment is over in Montreal. Hudon was sent back down and it wasn't just administratively this time as the Canadiens also recalled Riley Barber yesterday. That is one earned call-up as he is currently the points leader for the Rockets with 6 goals and 12 assists for a total of 18 points in 21 games (although he had a slow start and all of his points came in his last 15 games). The 25 year old will make his Habs debut in Pittsburgh tomorrow night in what will be his 4th NHL game. This morning, Claude Julien had him on his 4th line:

It wil be interesting to see if those lines stick, should Barber be able to show some offensive prowess in the big league, perhaps he'll be able to bump Weal from the 3rd line. To be honest, Nick Suzuki isn't exactly saddled with the most talented wingers right now. If anyone is wondering why Ryan Poehling isn't getting a shot well, he currently has 11 points in 25 games with the Rocket and has a -2 rating.

Claude Julien refused to confirm who will be manning the net against Pittsburgh tomorrow night but as it's the first night of a back to back, we can expect to see both goaltenders this week especially since Primeau looked pretty good in his debut.

The Habs had a rare Saturday night off this week and they used it wisely with the team's Christmas party:
