Best players - week 17

All-Star break is coming but before it arrives - we take a look at the best players of week 17th of KHL's regular season.


The best goalie was Julius Hudacek (Spartak), who won two of three games last week, including two road matches. The Slovak goalie lost to Sochi only on SO. Hudacek posted a saves percentage of 97.74% (facing a total of 92 shots, 30.7 per game), with a goals-against average of 0.96 (best numbers of the week).

The best defenseman was Sami Lepisto (Jokerit), who won three of four games with his team last week, scoring 5 (2+3) points (best numbers of the week among defensemen). Lepisto posted the game-winning goal in the road match against Salavat Yulaev. The Finn blueliner posted no negative ratings, being plus-6 (again the best numbers of the week among defensemen), and had nine shots on goal.

The best forward was Niklas Jensen (Jokerit), who won three of four games with his team last week, scoring 8 (5+3) points (best numbers of the week among forwards). Jensen scored points in each game, posting a hat-trick in the road game against Dinamo Riga and a double against Spartak in Moscow. The Danish forward posted no negative ratings, ending the week plus-5.

The best rookie was forward Artyom Anosov (Dinamo Minsk), who had an assist in both last week’s games. These were Anosov’s first points in the KHL. The 20-years-old forward posted no negative ratings, ending the week plus-1, and logged an average time on ice of 10 minutes and 27 seconds.
