My tweet at 8:35pm:

At 8:52 pm, Jeremy Colliton switches up the lines to move Kane up with Toews and Kubalik.

For the love of whatever God you believe in Jeremy, just put Kane on a line where he can has a shot to change the momentum of a game. Especially when you play a team like the Ottawa Senators – who are currently 2nd last in the entire NHL.

The Hawks depth is hurting right now upfront with Saad, Strome and Shaw out, but the Sens don't have the depth to counter anyway, so you might as well load up on your first couple of lines and then roll out a bottom 6 that can grind away and be responsible defensively.

I would like to see the same lines for Montreal tomorrow. I would expect they stay the same with the only difference being Corey Crawford being in net.

Crow's played AMAZING vs. Montreal in his career with a 9-2-2 record, 1.54 GAA, .954 SV% and 2 SO.

So, Colliton split these games up wisely.

Let's just hope he can continue to be "wise" for the remainder of this road trip.

As you can tell, my patience has been wearing thin on Colliton; I gave him the benefit of the doubt at the start of the season, however, he's made some very questionable moves as the season has gone on.

Regardless, we can chat about coaching at another date as I think Colliton is here to stay for the season and it's up the guys in the room to keep winning to see where this season takes them.

No better leader than the best one we've seen where a Blackhawks sweater, Jonathan Toews.

Captain Serious earned his paycheck on Tuesday night with the GWG, 2 assists and a +3. This was also his 3rd straight multi-point game. Impressive stuff from #19.

I was glad that the NBC Chicago post-game brought out the fact that Toews' 12 OT goals are the most in the NHL since 2015-16. It felt like déjà vu when Toews scored that OT goal and was curious as to how many he's had since 3-on-3 came into the league (thanks for researching for me NBC).

The Hawks take on Montreal on Wednesday and here are a few things I'd like to see:

* Alex DeBrincat
- he's been real quiet lately. DeBrincat has been known to be streaky in his early days in the NHL, however, when he's not producing; I'd like to see him creating more. He's one-and-done too many times on shifts and I see him constantly missing pucks, missing pass and taking bad routes out there. He needs to learn to create chances more frequently for himself and his linemates if the Hawks are going to see success in the future. His $6.4M per season contract kicks in next year and with all of these injuries, the Hawks could really use some production out of him.

* Dominik Kubalik
– just keep scoring, fella! Well, don't score too much because now I'm really starting to worry about that contract.

* Alex Nylander – … to win a 50/50 battle at least once in a game. I feel bad for picking on the guy but damn it he needs to come up with the puck more. He's a black hole out there and one of the reasons I sent that tweet to get Kane off his line. Unfortunately, he might be a guy that needs his linemates to do most of the work, which means guys like Carpenter and Caggiula are perfect compliments to that incompetence in his game right now.

* Drake Caggiula
– speaking of Caggiula, he has been noticeable in his return. He was a crazy 88.2 CF% with 15 CF and 2 CA. This is another recent Colliton move that irks me is Caggiula said coaches explained the roster was "full" and that's why he wasn't been slotted back in early. He was apparently ready to go about 5-7 days before his return 3 games ago. No, instead, they kept John Quenneville in the lineup over him. Makes a no sense. Regardless, hoping Caggiula can keep it up and stay healthy.

* Steady defence
– yes, it was a boring game overall; not a lot going on from either team. Still, the Hawks defence got the puck up the ice quick and played well overall as a unit. Heck, even Maatta and Koekkoek looked solid.

See ya out there!
