The post Boudreau era begins this afternoon as the Wild wrap up the latest homestand hosting the Sharks.

Boudreau's dismissal caught many by surprise, but Bill Guerin made the bold statement after the Zucker deal that he meant business and the drive to make the playoffs is on. Any let up and more moves will follow.

The next domini to fall was the head coach who was on thin ice anyhow considering the fact that he was in the final year of his contract com ined with the fact that he was hired by former GM, Chuck Fletcher.

Dean Evason, who was the first choice of the previous GM, Paul Fenton, steps up into the interim role of head coach for the time being.

Had the message gone stale with Bruce?

Were the third period collapses too much?

Is Guerin trying to see what Evason or just a new voice can do?

Or does Guerin have another head coach in mind altogether?

All legitimate questions which will be answered over the next couple of months.

Today Dean Evason is in charge and it will be interesting to see how he handles this team and the roles that he see the players fitting into.

Gotta think Ryan Donato gets an elevated role, just a thought....

It's always Hockey Day in the State of Hockey!
