More Changes Coming?

Friday's abrupt firing of Bruce Boudreau is just the latest in the transformation of the Minnesota Wild under Bill Guerin.

Guerin knows he is in the clock now and the honeymoon period is over if there was one at all. The team is what it is and the job Guerin has is to change that persona.

When you hear recently departed, Jason Zucker, talk about about how the East is different from the West and that everyone plays as fast as he does with his new team. Zucker is not saying that to blast his former mates, he is making an observation that he is now part of a club that is playing on a different level completely.

We have seen the Wild hang around the bubble for far too long. The problem is that the glimpses of compete make it appear that the Wild are somehow better than they are. They are clearly not the dregs of the league either, however they are much closer to the bottom than they are to the top.

Bill Guerin is hard at work and the guy is relentless in his quest to take the Wild to a level of contending. There are more moves coming in my opinion as the trade deadline is now less than a week away.

Guerin has no ownership to this roster and he ha shown that he means business especially with the dismissal of Boudreau.
