PLUS MINUS is an outdated stat that is good to use if you are going out as a Brontosaurus for Halloween.

PLUS: The NHL potentially resuming,

MINUS: The NHL has 24 franchises in a country that is completely disregarding the advice of it's own center for disease control, so resuming play is probably not safe.

PLUS: We've been counting down the 50 best Coyotes players of all-time during the quarantine, and today we are at #23: Sean Burke.

Burke was the Coyotes goalie coach for a while, and was a member of the Coyotes for five season. He is better known as the goalie of the Hartford Whalers in the early 90s. The Whalers have the best jersey's in NHL history and should be revived.

Burke is the second goalie to appear on this list. He is 50th in all time games played (211) and that puts him 3rd among goalies.

PLUS: I have been reading Meet Me in the Bathroom by Lizzy Goodman over the last couple of weeks, and if you are not familiar with it, it is the oral history of rock and roll in New York at the turn of the century through 2011.

This book gets my strongest recommendation of 5 Almeidas and if you are in any way interested in music, you should immediately order this book.

PLUS: The pandemic and subsequent quarantine has been a bit of a bummer (!) but one good thing that came out of it was the Parks and Rec special, which included a commercial for a new Dennis Feinstein fragrance that made the whole thing worth while.

PLUS: I had the good fortune of coming across one of the greatest records of I've ever heard - Califone's All my Friends Are Funeral Singers

MINUS: I can't even turn the news on without going into a near apoplectic rage due to the general stupidity of people. It's becoming very obvious that our societies lack of respect for experts and professionals is killing us.

PLUS: I Have been collecting hockey cards with my son over the last few years, and this year we've gone berserk on the old Upper Deck Series 1. We are attempting to collect the full set, including all the sub-sets and maybe even the parallels.

If anyone who reads this is also collecting, hit me with a DM or find me on twitter and we can make some trades, I have a massive pile of doubles.

PLUS: While collecting cards I came across this guy on facebook who breaks open really expensive boxes of memorabilia cards. These cards cost like $130 bucks for a box of 10 or less cards, but with this guy you can pay $20 and get a team, then any card he pulls of that team will get mailed to you.

Last week for $15 I got a Nathan MacKinnon all-star card with a game worn jersey patch and a patch from the banner. It's awesome. I don't get paid anything to say this but this a really cool thing and if you want to try it DM me and I'll send you the info.

PLUS: The Top 50 List of Best Films of All-Time.

We last left off at #24 which was Catch Me If You Can. Today we arrive at #23 and teh movie Serprico.

Al Pacino's masterwork, Serprico is the tale of the only non-corrupt cop in NYC in the 70s. Serprico had all the best vests and hats, and his beard was topped only by his righteous indignation and moral superiority.

To this day, I try to dress and act exactly like Serpico does. We all should. It's a great movie, it's intense and incredibly relevant to today's world.

If you haven't seen Serpico, do so immediately. If you have seen it and do not like it what is wrong with you?
