Today the Devils signed Defense prospect Reilly Walsh who was drafted in 2017, 81st overall. Spending time in the NCAA with Harvard University (while playing with Rangers' Adam Fox in Harvard they led their team in scoring), he signed the typical 3 year ELC.

This signing speeds up our defense pipeline, something blogged about in my last blog. But most importantly Walsh is an offensive minded puck moving defenseman which is something the Devils need. He has the skills, now he needs to prepare his body and mind to the next level and it starts now.

I like this signing as Walsh, along with Ty Smith and Kevin Bahl are my top D currently in the Devils system.
