Every article, I try to include a poll question for readers to vote on, then review the results from the week’s polls every weekend. It’s been a few weeks since the last poll review, but here are this week’s poll results and my thoughts on how they turned out.

QUESTION: How many points do you expect from Sam Steel next season?

(Votes: 113)

30-40 points: 39%
40-50 points: 37%
More than 50 points: 15%
Less than 30 points: 10%

Steel may have been on pace for just 28 points this year but we can certainly expect that number to rise next season. I’m with the 76 per cent of voters who believe he’ll be somewhere between 30 and 50 points next season.

QUESTION: Where do you see Troy Terry fitting into Anaheim’s lineup long-term?

(Votes: 99)

Bottom-six forward: 56%
Top-six forward: 26%
Middle-six forward: 18%

I definitely don’t agree with the results on this one. I think Terry is likely to become a middle-six forward who’s able to jump between the second and third line. I really do think there’s a good chance we see him break through and significantly increase his production next season.

QUESTION: Is there any player that you wish hadn’t been traded this year?

(Votes: 170)

Ondrej Kase: 34%
No, all were fine trade pieces: 30%
Derek Grant: 16%
Nick Ritchie: 14%
Korbinian Holzer: 5%
Devin Shore: 1%

I’m also stuck on whether or not I think Kase should have been dealt. The Ducks are in need of young forwards who can produce and Kase was a young forward who could produce. I think at the very least, it wasn’t the right time to deal him, while his value was low.
