The Core Schneider New Jersey era has come to an end.

After being put on waivers for a buy out, Uncle Lou Lamoriello who traded for Schneider at the NHL Draft in New Jersey made a call and will give Schneider a chance to continue his career.

The Islanders have signed Schneider to a 1 year deal. Since the Isles have Varlamov and Ilya Sorokin, Schneider fogireda to play for AHL Bridgeport and injury call-up to the Isles. Most importantly he has a chance.

Schneider has been a good Devil and one of my all time favorite Devils. I will treasure my Schneider Devils jersey and wish him well.

Good luck Corey!

Speaking of goalies, the Devils signed a familiar face in Stanley Cup winner Scott Wedgewood.

Most importantly, will he wear the famous Puddy mask from Seinfeld's Devils episode. He posted a picture of it and has had a lot of questions but hasn't made a decision on what to do with his mask.

Welcome back Wedgweood.

Some free agents still to put pen to paper, the longer it takes, the better it is for the Devils as it seems money is tight with a flat cap. We have mentioned a few names that I see a good fit in Jersey like Dadonov, another Dman but another player I think would fit well in a bottom 6 role would be Erik Haula but Zacha could be a casualty if that happens.

Not sure the Devils have given up on Zacha yet. He is not the player they drafted and become more of a role player. We shall see.

What free agents you think the Devils should pursue to make an impact?

Truly yours,
