Fitz at it again, Kulikov added to the back end

Fitzgerald addressed one of the focus points for improvement when he took over - the back end.

Dmitry Kulikov was brought in on a one year deal worth $1.15million. Not bad for a one year deal to improve our defense which looked like an AHL defensive corps most of last season. With the addition of Murray and now Kulikov, who can line up on either side, is a great step even if for a year. Kulikov isn't flashy and plays a very basic, steady and tough game which is something the Devils need especially since the departure of Greene. This can also benefit the younger D.
This also gives time for some of our pipeline guys to get better and buy us a year.

The D looks much better today, than last season. Good cheap plug for a year.

The question is, Is Fitz done?
Still a few interesting names out there, but where would some of them fit?
Erik Haula is an interesting name who can be versatile up and down the lineup and help.
Travis Hamonic I like but with the Kulikov signing, perhaps that ship has sailed? Same with Sami Vatanen (who is a similar player to Kulikov)
Alex Galchenyuk is very intriguing to me. A name I would love to see added on a 2 or 3 year deal.
Dominic Kahune is another younger layer who can be a 3rd or 2nd line filler who can also help.

Again, the question is, where do they fit in the current lineup?
