Kevyn Adams has plugged a goaltending hole by signing veteran Dustin Tokarski to a two-year contract. Tokarski is a $725K AAV and will land in Rochester where he will likely backup Finnish sensation Ukko Pekka Luukkonen. UPL is currently on loan to TPS in his native Finland and will most likely return to Buffalo once NHL and AHL training camps open in January.

Tokarski, 31, performed admirably last season for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. In 18 games played, Tokarski went 9-5-2, with a 1.97 GAA and .924 SV% in 18 games.

The Sabres have signed goalie Dustin Tokarski to a two-year contract with an AAV of $725,000.

The Sabres now have fiive goalies under contract for the 2021 campaign in Carter Hutton, Linus Ullmark, Dustin Tokarski, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, Jonas Johansson

All five goalies have contracts that expire in 2022.

Tokarski will be a candidate to be exposed to the Seattle Kraken in the NHL expansion draft.

The signing of Tokarski to a two year deal creates trade value for propect tendy Jonas Johansson, who last week was loaned to Krefeld of the German Elite League.

Tokarski is a two-time Calder Cup champion (2012 and 2019) and was selected to the AHL All-Star Game in 2013-14.

In 30 career postseason AHL games, Tokarski has a 1.85 GAA and a .932 SV%e.
