Hello,

Thought I would have some fun today. Here the current Vegas Odds for the 2020-2021 NHL Stanley Cup! These are provided by FanDual. If you had to pick one team that isnt "your" team, who would you pick to win it all next year?

1. Colorado Avalanche +750
2. Vegas Golden Knights +800
3. Tampa Bay Lightning +900
4. Boston Bruins +1300
5. Philadelphia Flyers +1400
6. Toronto Maple Leafs +1600
7. St. Louis Blues +1700
8. Washington Capitals +1700
9. Pittsburgh Penguins +1900
10. Carolina Hurricanes +2000
11. Dallas Stars +2200
12. Edmonton Oilers +2300
13. Calgary Flames +2400
14. Nashville Predators +2700
15. New York Islanders +2700
16. New York Rangers +2700
17. Florida Panthers +3200
18. Vancouver Canucks +3500
19. Winnipeg Jets +3700
20. Buffalo Sabres +4000
21. Columbus Blue Jackets +4000
22. San Jose Sharks +4500
23. Chicago Blackhawks +5000
24. LA Kings +5000
25. Montreal Canadiens +5000
26. Anaheim Ducks +5500
27. Minnesota Wild +5500
28. Arizona Coyotes +6000
29. New Jersey Devils +8500
30. Ottawa Senators +17500
31. Detroit Red Wings +30000

The Washington Capitals have the 8th best odds of winning the Stanley Cup for the 2020-2021 season. That is probably about right where it should be in my opinion. Other good “value bets” that jump out to me are the New York Islanders at +2700, the Columbus Blue Jackets at +4000, and the Montreal Canadiens at +5000. All three of these teams have solid combo of goaltending and defense. IF I were a betting man…id buy low on any of those four teams.

The Capitals have also won the division five years in a row and 10 of the last 13 seasons. Funny or not, they always play extremely well during the regular season to win the division but always manage to fall short in the playoffs. It is what it is. Considering the Flyers are favorites ahead of the Capitals to win the Stanley Cup, I would expect the same for them in the division. Even with Philadelphia’s late season surge last year, I will still take the Caps to win the division 10 out of 10 times. Peter Laviolette is known for QUICK results and I expect another strong season for the Caps.

Thoughts on where your squad stands with Stanley Cup Odds? Any surprises or good values you see? If you had to pick someone other than your team, who would you pick?

As always, thanks for reading! Go Caps!
