Good morning and a Happy Monday to you all! There are probably things you want to be doing right now aside from working, so allow me to keep you from working just a little longer by reading another expansion list.

Today I am joined by reader aries1976 who has provided an expansion list for the Nashville Predators.

NASHVILE PREDATORS PROTECTION LIST

FORWARDS

Ryan Johansen - C
Matt Duchene - C
Viktor Arvidsson - RW
Filip Forsberg - LW

DEFENSE

Roman Josi (NMC) - LD
Ryan Ellis - RD
Mattias Ekholm - LD
Dane Fabbro - RD

GOALIE

Jusse Saros

Four defencemen on this team was an easy decision, the forward depth isn't there and I'd keep any of these dman over the 5th best forward on the Preds.

Notable available include Sissons, Kunin, Jarnkrok, and Grimaldi.

---

Thanks for the list! Excited to have our second 4-4-1 combination. aries1976 provided some notable names so let's take a closer dive.

Colton Sissons - The recently turned 27 year old has had some glimpses of offensive prowess before falling back down the lineup once more. Last season scored 15 goals on a 13.6SH% and only scored 9 this year on a 17.3 SH%. What makes Sissons interesting is he is locked up until the 26/27 season with an annual cap hit of 2.867 million.

Luke Kunin - Acquired this off-season from the Wild for picks and Nick Bonino. The 22 year old broke out with an offensively challenged Wild team, scoring 15 goals and 31 points. Still needs a contract for next season.

Calle Jarnkrok - Veteran middle six forward who consistently puts up 15ish goals. Could have hit 20 this past season if not for the suspended season.

Matt Benning - Younger defenseman who was a solid possession player for the Oilers in a third pairing role. Has the ability to put up some points while not shying away from the more physical aspects of the game.

SEATTLE SELECTS.....

Luke Kunin

I am actually really intrigued to watch this player this season. The Wild are just bad in terms of generating chances and offense and for a 22 year old to still put up 15 goals, with 14 of them being at even strength gets my attention. Depending on how this next season fairs, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Preds still go the 4-4-1 route, but keep Kunin over Johansen.
