The NHL announced this offseason, likely as a way to boost revenue, a Reverse Retro jersey. Adidas and the league teased snippets of those jerseys the last few days with Icethetics mocking up their version of the jerseys, as seen below. Monday, those jerseys went live. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder on these, those I think they are pretty cool looking, but I am a big fan of the Liberty jersey.

What do you think of them? Would have liked the sleeves to be a bit bolder and have silver accents, like in the past. But as a fan of the Liberty jerseys in general, I am mostly happy with the Retro version, which is pretty similar to the original version. But I don’t know what the “reverse” part of the equation is here. Also, I think the C on the 20 jersey is for 2020 and not specifically for Chris Kreider but we will see...
