Forward Ryan Suzuki will be the only Carolina Hurricanes prospect to exit this year’s World Junior Championship tournament with a medal.

Suzuki earned a Silver Medal, as Team Canada fell to the United States in yesterday’s Gold Medal Game, by a score of 2-0.

Suzuki finishes the tournament with two goals and four points in seven games and will not be eligible to return for next year’s tournament.

Three other Hurricanes prospects did not earn a medal in the tournament, as Vasiliy Ponomarev and Team Russia lost to Finland in the Bronze Medal Game, while Noel Gunler and Zion Nybeck had their tournaments come to an end after Team Sweden lost to Finland in the quarterfinals.
