#CanucksCamp practices and workouts for today are cancelled. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution due to potential exposure of COVID-19.

Details regarding tomorrow’s schedule will be announced later today.

This will likely effect the Oilers home opener as Edmonton was set to play back to back home games against the Canucks in just a few short days starting on Wednesday.

The Canucks join an unlucky few teams including the Blue Jackets, Stars, and Penguins but both the Blue Jackets and Penguins are set to resume practices already. Unlike the Stars with a number of confirmed players down these are examples where players or coaches may have been exposed.

I don't think we are anywhere close to the season being postponed. The NBA, MLB, and NFL all went through these speed bumps as well and overall were able to continue moving forward. For now, everyone take a deep breath, relax, and we will see where this leads. As soon as there are other updates I will post them here.
