4 Reasons '21 NHL is unpredictable.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

No more nights without hockey! We are back in business and today we embark on what might very well be the LEAST predictable season we have ever seen.

Why?

* We haven’t seen a regular season game in ten months. Do we really know where these teams are?

* There will be no fans in the arenas. Will that affect different players/teams in different ways? I believe this benefits younger players who won’t have to deal with the pressure of fans and becomes harder for older players who, over the course of a tough and long season, depend more on the lift that a full arena can give them to maintain a high level.

* We are going to see teams have to postpone games, and we are going to see teams have to go deeper into their depth charts than ever before.

* We have four new divisions and those new matchups will benefit some and possibly handicap others. Each teams will only play 6 or 7 other teams ALL season. That will ramp up animosity at the least, but more interestingly will also test (and possibly reveal) who are the best coaches. When you play the same teams over and over you learn things about them and they learn things about you.

Your team must be entered AND ROSTERED before 5pm ET this afternoon.

NOTE: This season is going to be, well, unpredictable. There will be games on the NHL season schedule that will be postponed, moved, even canceled outright and rescheduled in favor of another opponent should a team go down for a period of time with COVID-19.

So as it pertains to our fantasy game: If the player you rostered during the stated week plays a game you get those points—if he does not play that game you do not get any points. So if a game is added it will be included, if removed it won’t.

It's the best fantasy game every created! The HBSL is a hybrid between a salary cap game and a head-to-head fantasy game. Each week you create your 20 man roster based on the actual NHL salary cap and the actual salary cap hits. You then face-off with a fellow hockey fan. At the end of the regular season, we throw the best 128 teams into a 7-week playoff.

There is a Season Ticket Holder bracket and a Free bracket.
