The San Jose Sharks have announced their roster and taxi squad, shown below.

FORWARDS (12): Logan Couture, Ryan Donato, Dylan Gambrell, Tomas Hertl, Evander Kane, Joel Kellman, Kevin Labanc, Patrick Marleau, Timo Meier, Matt Nieto, Stefan Noesen and Marcus Sorensen

DEFENSE (7): Brent Burns, Mario Ferraro, Erik Karlsson, Nikolai Knyzhov, Jacob Middleton and Marc-Edouard Vlasic

GOALTENDERS (2): Devan Dubnyk and Martin Jones

TAXI SQUAD (6): Noah Gregor, Fredrik Handemark, John Leonard, Alexei Melnichuk, Nicolas Meloche and Brinson Pasichnuk

Artemi Kniazev was also sent back to junior, while Sasha Chmelevski and Jeffrey Truchon-Viel were assigned to the AHL. Maxim Letunov was also placed on injured reserve, while Rudolfs Balcers, who was claimed off waivers from the Ottawa Senators yesterday, is now listed as ‘NHL Non-Roster’ on CapFriendly.

Also worth noting is that both Nikolai Knyzhov and and Jacob Middleton made the roster. It'll be interesting to see how each player is used to start the season.
