Kaprizov was impressive all night and fittingly he capped the Wild win with his first NHL goal in OT.

From start to finish the rookie was excellent in all three zones. He sees the ice so well and he is always around the puck. Kaprizov took over shifts and turned the game around in the third period with maybe his best shift of the night which resulted in him finding Victor Rask in the slot and Rask beat Quick with Zach Parise on the doorstep cutting the Kings lead to 1.

The Wild top powerplay with Kaprizov, Parise, and Fiala up front with Matt Dumba and Jared Spurgeon on the points looked very dangerous at times despite not finding the back of the bet on the man advantage. Thw major drawback being the inability to win faceoffs. That nees to be addressed in today's puck possession NHL.

Nick Bjugstad did not show much in his Wild debut which opened the door for Rask to jump up to the top line in the third. Rask scored a big goal and played well even before the move to the top line.

Center is going to be an issue all season as we know. This is a piecemeal position for the Wild and will continue to be, but the saving grace at least is the Wild finally have some bona-fide star power on the wing in Fiala and Kaprizov.

Marco Rossi will get a look when he is healthy as we expect to see the Wild first round pick play at least 6 games before the decision must be made as to burn the firat year of his ELC.

Good win after trailing by two heading into the third, but they need to be better if they are going to be a playoff team this season. Cam Talbot was suspect especially on the first Kings goal and looked rattled after the second goal against. He made a couple big saves in the third and in OT but overall looked not a good game.
