Last Night 1-2 -2.35 Units
YTD 3-3 +.90 Units

What did we learn last night, or for that matter what have we learned in this young season?
Road teams are holding their own, especially with no fans there really isn’t no true homeice advantage where the home side can sometimes draw off the energy of their homecrowd. Road teams look very comfortable in the early going. Wednesday night they were 2-3, but last night they were 6-4, 8-7 winning record on the road for the first two nights of the season.
We will start to see more of these back to back nights of games with the same teams going to head. It will be a fun angle to follow and furthermore to see how a particular angle can be profitable. We only had one last night and the Edmonton Oilers rebounded from their loss the night before getting the split at the home. Most importantly it wasn’t a 3 point game with both teams winning in regulation.

I will keep tracking the over/unders as I do see the goalies behind to start the season with no pre-season games. Wednesday night overs were a nifty 3-1-1. Last night 6-4, so 9-5-1 on the overs, nice profit so far on the overs.

One big angle that is very profitable after the first two nights of plays is playing 1st period totals over 1.5. On Wednesday night 4 out of the 5 games went over. Last night 7 of the 10 games went over so that is a nifty 11 out of 15 games that sailed over the first period total of 1.5. If you were to have placed 1 Unit on each game, you would have profited 5.80 Units as the juice is -130 on these totals. Not a bad profit for 2 nights!

Friday nights plays –
Toronto/Ottawa over 6.5 goals(2 Units) – Plain and simple, the Leafs skill level will expose the Sens defensive problems. Ottawa will be forced to open it up to keep pace with the Leafs. I know the Sens will dress a defensive core that has a puck moving defensemen on one side, with a physical guy on the side of each pairing. The Sens have an average height of 6’2” on their team(one of the taller teams in the NHL) so they will try to play physical hockey with the Leafs to neutralize the Leafs speed and skill. I see one of those 5-3 type games.

Avs – ML(-135)(2 Units) – Wednesday night was a very lackluster performance by the Avs. They were dominated in every aspect of the game after scoring an early PP goal. The Blues will incredible in all three zones of the game. I look for the Avs to rebound with a huge effort tonight! This Avs team needs to show everyone why they are Stanley Cup contenders.

Good Luck to everyone!
