The details of contracts for goaltender Cory Schneider and forward Dmytro Timashov have also been confirmed.
Cory Schneider’s contract is one year and carries an AAV of just $700,000. Dmytro Timashov’s deal is also worth the league minimum, though he’ll still be a restricted free agent when it expires. Schneider is currently a member of the Islanders’ roster, while Timashov recently cleared waivers and was sent down.
These guys from yesterday all cleared waivers today: Par Lindholm (Bos) Devin Shore (Edm) Rodrigo Abols (Fla) Kevin Connauton (Fla) Dmytro Timashov (NYI) Criotoval Nieves (TB) Craig Anderson (Wash)
Other moves worth noting: both Thomas Hickey and Oliver Wahlstrom have been assigned to the team’s taxi squad. Meanwhile, goaltender Jakub Skarek has been sent down from the taxi squad, as a result of Schneider taking a place on the roster.
