Word is that Keith Yandle IS expected in the lineup tonight as the Panthers finally start their NHL season. This follows a lot of speculation that Yandle’s 800+ game streak may be coming to an end as the Panthers defense has improved a lot and Yandle’s play has diminished...

While Yandle’s streak will continue through tonight, I wouldn’t expect him to become an every day player if he remains on the Panthers this season. There are teams with interest out there if the Panthers are willing to eat some salary...

How about those Habs?

I will say this. Last night was impressive. Montreal took it to Edmonton and the Canadiens are the first team I feel I may have been wrong about this season. I knew they would be improved, but when I watch them play right now...I see a playoff team...
