NYR have four game dates changed, Adam Fox, Team USA and '22 Olympics |

Due to COVID-19 protocols, the Rangers game against the Devils on Saturday was postponed. The NHL announced how that game will be made up along with shifting three other conteets. Larry Brooks had an interesting post on Adam Fox, Team USA's projected roster and the 2022 Olympics.
- The Rangers' game originally scheduled for Feb. 6 against the New Jersey Devils at New Jersey is now scheduled for Mar. 4 at 7:00 p.m.
- The Rangers' game originally scheduled for Mar. 4 against the New Jersey Devils at MSG is now scheduled for Feb. 16 at 7:00 p.m.
- The Rangers' game originally scheduled for Feb. 16 against the Philadelphia Flyers at MSG is now scheduled for Feb. 14 at 6:00 p.m.
- The Rangers' game originally scheduled for Mar. 5 against the New Jersey Devils at New Jersey is now scheduled for Mar. 6 at 1:00 p.m.
New York entered the season with just six back-to-back games. The good news is that only one of these changes increases that total, as the shift of the game from March 5 to March 6 means that the Blueshirts play Pittsburgh on the 7th at 7:30PM on the heels of a 1PM contest against the Devils the prior day. If Igor Shesterkin is on a role, the schedule should not materially impact his ability to remain in the lineup. What these modifications do - other than the one back-to-back resulting from the shift - is slightly reduce the days off between games.

So my good friends at The Athletic — Scott Burnside, Craig Custance and Pierre Lebrun — have come up with projected rosters for the 2022 Olympics. For Team USA, only four righty defensemen were named — Jeff Petry, John Carlson, Charlie McAvoy and Seth Jones.
But neither they, nor you, and most importantly Team USA’s hierarchy, should go to sleep on Adam Fox, who is emerging as an elite talent in his second season on the Rangers blue line.
Artemi Panarin is the Rangers’ best player. But Fox is not all that far behind. Fox is a legitimate candidate, even if his résumé and portfolio is not quite as full as the aforementioned quartet.
Hard to argue with those four. The left side is Quinn Hughes, Ryan McDonagh, Jaccob Slavin and Torey Krug. I guess there are three questions: is Fox better than any of the four on the right side? Is Fox better than any of the four on the left side (and can he switch sides if needed)? Is Fox better than any of those eight overall? Presuming we have an Olympics in about a year, the roster won't be named for at least another eight or nine months or so, maybe longer. If Fox continues to play as he has, he will force his way onto the roster, But, he also has Zach Werenski and possibly Ryan Suter to edge out. Plus, in case you wondered, no Rangers' forwards - meaning no Chris Kreider, sorry TPC - on the roster. (Before you ask, Artemi Panarin, first line left winger, and Shesterkin, third goalie, are on the the projected Team Russia roster while Mika Zibanejad is the first line center for Team Sweden on their projected roster).
